JP Botha counts down the top 30 songs in Algoa Country, keeping listeners entertained and tuned in as they go about their weekend activities.
A very driven individual is your first impression of JP Botha.
But like an onion, he has many layers and is determined, ambitious, confident, realistic and jocular.
JP believes his love for radio was born while driving with his grandmother in her taxi, listening to Algoa FM. At six, he decided he wanted to “talk on the radio”.
When he is not behind the mic, he is a language teacher at Alexander Road High School, for which he won a national award in 2022. He is currently completing a 'Further Education Studies in Curriculum Development' course.
