Algoa FM drives cancer awareness in pink

Algoa FM will once again partner with Isuzu in the 2019 Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer.

The radio station has taken delivery of two Isuzu mu-X sport utility vehicles, wrapped in pink, which will help raise awareness for the upcoming Big Walk on 26 October.

Alfie Jay, Algoa FM Managing Director, said the vehicles would be used throughout the month of October to create awareness about the Big Walk. “It is great to have Isuzu going the extra mile by cladding the vehicles and making them available for a second consecutive year,” said Jay.

He is also commended Isuzu Motors South Africa for encouraging their employees and families to participate in the Big Walk.

Isuzu has entered close to 1 200 employees and their families in the Big Walk. “This gesture demonstrates Isuzu’s commitment towards the wellbeing of their workforce,” Jay added.

Gishma Johnson, Isuzu corporate communications manager said cancer awareness forms an integral part of Isuzu Motors South Africa’s health and wellness programme. “The partnership with Algoa FM provides an opportunity to broaden the reach of cancer awareness and reaffirms Isuzu’s commitment to the community and a healthy workforce,

“We value our relationship with Algoa FM and believe that our collaboration will yield the desired results in attracting maximum participation and raising the level of cancer awareness which could drive early detection of the disease and early intervention,” said Johnson.
