Nelisa Kala

Nelisa, who was born in Nelson Mandela Bay, is a voice artist, producer, entrepreneur, musician and radio presenter. She started off in community radio in 2006 and has hosted shows on commercial radio across the country. She has a keen interest in performance art and is a well-versed compère who has hosted events ranging from the Women’s Empowerment Conference to the Durban International Jazz Festival. She runs her own media agency, which handles talent management, public relations and production.

A music lover, she plays the trombone, piano and guitar. She is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Music degree and intends to pursue a Master of Music Therapy qualification.
