Kariega police are investigating a double murder following the discovery of two burnt bodies in Kwanobuhle on Wednesday.
Spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge says the bodies of two unidentified females were found in bushes adjacent to 4th Avenue, Khayelitsha.
He says preliminary investigations indicate that the victims are estimated to be between the ages of 17 and 19.
Their identities remain unknown at this stage.
"The motive for this callous act is also unknown and forms a critical part of the ongoing investigation being conducted by Kwanobuhle SAPS detectives under the leadership of the Serious Violent Crimes unit", Beetge said.
Police are urgently appealing to the community for any information that could assist the investigation.
