Beach Road from the M4 to La Roche Drive

Summerstrand-bound traffic on Humewood Road/Marine Drive is open to La Roche Drive from where traffic will be diverted up La Roche Drive. Use Strandfontein Road and Second Avenue to access Summerstrand.

The City/M4 Bound traffic may access Beach Road from La Roche Drive.

Beach Road/Marine Drive from Second Avenue to La Roche Drive:

The city-bound lanes of Marine Drive/Humewood Road are open to traffic from Second Avenue up to La Roche Drive and beyond to the M4 highway.

Summerstrand-bound lanes of Beach Road/ Marine Drive are closed between La Roche Drive and Second Avenue

Marine Drive from Second Avenue to Noordhoek:

Lanes are closed in both directions from Second Avenue onwards to Admiralty Way and beyond up to Secrets Beach, prior to Noordhoek Camp Site.

Noordhoek/Willows and Skoenmakerskop are accessible via Walmer using Heugh Road and Victoria Drive.

Marine Drive will have controlled crossover points as follow:

8^thAvenue (for Something Good/Summerstrand Surf Lifesaving Club/Pollock Beach)
9^thAvenue (for residents only from Summer Seas)

Pine Lodge and Cape Recife Nature Reserve are accessible from NMU South Campus Marine Drive gate through University Way and Protea Road. Note that the transit along Marine Drive is on a soft road shoulder lane. No heavy vehicles.
