Taylor Swift joins world’s billionaires list

Remarkably, Swift accomplished this by doing what no other musician has: she has become a billionaire strictly off of money generated from her music and performances.

According to Forbes, her Eras Tour spanning 152 shows and five continents generated more than $1bn (£800m) in revenue. (In South Africa, for one billion dollars you would get roughly R18,672,980,000)

Forbes' records show that Swift is one of 265 people to have joined the 2,781-strong list of billionaires over the past year.
