Beached whale in Great Brak to be euthanized

A 10m long Juvenile Humpback whale has washed up on a beach near Great Brak River on Tuesday morning.

Tersia Marais from the Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team (SMART) says the whale was found on Pienaar Beach and is in a poor condition.

She says the whale will be euthanized as soon as possible to take it out of its misery

Marais says the whale is in pretty bad shape and a veterinarian agreed that it had to be euthanized as quickly as possible.

She says the whale is in very bad shape.
