Flying squad makes dagga bust in PE

Police in Port Elizabeth arrested two men in the Bethelsorp area after 35kg of dagga was found in their vehicle.

Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the flying squad noticed a suspicious white Ford Fiesta in Standford Road on Thursday evening.

She says when cops made a u-turn to follow the car they started speeding.

The car was eventally stopped and the driver fled on foot.

Police arrested the two passengers aged 26 and 39 who will be charged with dealing and the illegal possession of dagga.

The estimated street value of the dagga is estimated to be R30 000
