Double murder accused back in Great Brak River court

A man who was hunted by police for two years following the brutal murders of a Great Brak River couple will make his second court appearance on Friday.

Lebohang Lekoro fled to Lesotho after 72-year-old Tewie Human and his 62-year-old wife, Eurika, were murdered in their home in June 2016.

On the day of the murders, R14 000 was transferred from the couple’s account to an account in Lesotho.

Twenty-seven-year-old Lekoro, who worked for the couple, was arrested in Bloemfontein in November last year.

Police said he made the mistake of crossing the border back to South Africa which made it much easier for them to make a speedy arrest.

He will appear in the Great Brak River Magistrates Court on two charges of murder and more charges might be added to the charge sheet.

Lekoro’s friend, 26-year-old Tamsanqa Sishuba, is already serving two life sentences for his involvement in the murders.
