A fishing trawler has run aground at Vleesbaai.
The NSRI said they were notified at around 3.40 am on Friday and local duty crew responded in a sea rescue vehicle as well as a rescue craft.
Spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, said when they arrived on the scene they found that the “trawler had gently run aground”.
He said the six crewmen were not injured.
Lambinon said later that the vessel was towed off the beach shortly after 7am.
