An Eastern Cape teenager who went missing after being accused of stealing has been reunited with her family.
The 12-year-old went missing on the 31st of December from the Mthini local Ngobozana area.
Police Spokesperson Captain Mali Govender says she was finally found on Sunday morning and the search was called off.
Constable Katikati from the K9 unit in Mthatha and his dog, Yete, found the teenager about 3 km from her house near Lusikisiki.
Govender says the child was accused of stealing money and was chased into the forest.
She is unharmed and have been handed over to her mother. The child was also attended to by social workers.
