Police in Pretoria has urged parents to monitor their children and speak to them about the dangers of drugs.
This follows after 13 young adults and scholars have been hospitalised since Sunday after smoking an alleged unknown substance.
Police Spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the substance is allegedly bought in adult shops, tuck shops and tobacco shops which is then mixed with cigarette tobacco before being smoked.
She said the product is known on the street as "puff", "blazing" or "crazy coconut" and is available in different flavours such as strawberries.

The substance is mainly in circulation in Pretoria and surrounding areas.
A 14-year-old teenager was also hospitalized when his school made contact with the police.
Selepe said police will now send the substance for forensic tests to determine the ingredients.
She said while they wait for the results to see if it is a dangerous substance or illegal drug, they will be launching an operation to find the dealers and request them to move the product off their shelves immediately.
Various government departments such as health, trade and industry have also been contacted to look into this matter.
All patients who were hospitalized are stable.
Police said there were rumours doing the rounds that two of the 13 patients had died, but no such report was received by SAPS.
