Earlier in the week the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, made an impassioned vow to help protect endangered wildlife, saying he would find it hard to look his children 'in the eye' if tigers and elephants no longer existed in the wild.
Speaking at the Illegal Wildlife Trade conference in Battersea, London, the prince told his audience of politicians, conservation groups and business owners, that he was deeply pained at the thought of such animals not surviving 'on our watch'.
He affirmed that he was determined that his own children, George, five, Charlotte, three and Louis, five months, - and his grandchildren - should be able to see wildlife in their natural habitat.
