Doxa Youth Programs was established in 2007 in Nelson Mandela Metro, and it is now trading as Doxa Family Care.
Doxa is an NGO that seeks to preserve the family as a focal point in our society. Doxa offers non-statutory intervention to families at risk, families in crisis, and families in transition. It is an intervention and family prevention program that is both culturally responsive and community-based. The program adopts multi-level equitable norms and a community advocacy approach to transform masculinities by changing attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate Gender-Based Violence.
We address the decline of fatherhood and the male identity crisis in South Africa.
Doxa Strengthens individual family members and communities through educational programs, awareness campaigns, counseling & shelter for gender-based violence victims, mentoring & parenting skills.
OUR current Projects are :
Masana Girl Empowerment
Assists adolescent girls in understanding Gender Equality, reducing adolescent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections and breaking the cycle of poverty.
Adolescence is an important time to emphasize gender
Doxa Men’s Shelter
Provide temporary shelter for crime/ GBV victims, as well as counseling services.
