Contradictory to Lance’s composed exterior, there is a daredevil and hardcore adventurer who is more than keen to do studio crossings from unusual locations; from atop Mount Kilimanjaro, while doing loop-the-loops in an L39 Jet, pulling 10 G’s positive and 6 G’s negative in a Sukhoi aerobatic plane (& bursting an eyeful of blood vessels in the process), from the edge of a bridge, seconds prior to bungee jumping for the first time, and even underwater using a purpose-built mask.

We love our Lance as he gives us and our listeners that refreshing gasp of “I can’t believe he just did that”. He makes radio an even more exciting place to work, if that were to be possible. Therefore there is no surprise that he has become a household name in Algoa Country and has consequently built a strong fan base in the broadcast area.
