Algoa FM enters the winter season with a hot new line-up of presenters and shows.
Vuyani Nogemane (Vinny) will be presenting a new 10pm to 2am show during weekdays from the beginning of May.
Born in Fort Beaufort in the Eastern Cape, Vinny started his career in radio at CBFM before moving on to spend six years on air and behind the scenes at OFM in the Free State.

The challenge of starting up a new radio station in Gauteng has lured Algoa FM programme manager and Saturday lunchtime presenter Mio Khondleka away from the coast.
He is joining the new radio station, Power FM, as Music Manager. The station is due to start broadcasting later this year. Khondleka will be joined in Gauteng by his wife, Queenie.

An education-focussed organisation has been selected by Algoa FM as the beneficiary of the annual Algoa FM Summer Charity Golf day, which will be taking place on Thursday, March 7 at the Humewood golf club in Port Elizabeth.
Funds raised by the charity event will go towards building a centre for those involved in early childhood education in the Gqebera (Walmer) township run by KICK.

CHOC lodge underway with donation from the Big Walk
Plans to provide accommodation for the parents of children being treated for cancer in Port Elizabeth have been given a R125 000 boost by the Discovery Algoa FM Big Walk.
The funds were handed over to CHOC (The Childhood Cancer Foundation in Port Elizabeth) at a ceremony in the paediatric oncology wards at Dora Nginza Hospital on Wednesday, 20 February 2013.
