Grade 11 and 12 learners from Nelson Mandela Bay and Buffalo City will be taking over the airwaves on Algoa FM on Monday, June 16.

The tenth season of the popular M-Net Idols auditions is coming to Port Elizabeth thanks to Algoa FM.
Last year Algoa FM lobbied hard with the M-Net team to bring the auditions to the friendly city and this year they got it right again.

Walkers braved rain and wind to raise R210 000 for the Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC) at the annual Discovery Algoa FM Big Walk held in October 2013. At the hanodver that took place this morning at the Algoa FM studios Glenn Van Eck donated an additional R5000 to CHOC.
Over 7500 people entered the Big Walk in 2013 and more than 4000 people pitched during the stormy weather to participate in the 4km walk.
